WOOSTER – Arthur Martin HEIL, 80, of Wooster, loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, passed away Friday, April 23, 2010 in Akron City Hospital.
He was born August 19, 1929 in Akron.
He retired as assistant store manager of Acme-Click in Akron after 37 years. He was an avid history buff, especially military history. He loved to travel and was a handyman who enjoyed helping his family. He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Anna Mae Manwell Heil; his children Kitty (John) Morganti of Magadore, Gail (Joe) Snyder of Smithville, Robert (Tina) Heil of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Brenda (Dave) Shelly of Fairview, TN and Laura (Doug) Myers of Leitchfield, KY; grandchildren, Megan, Tara and Dylan Myers, Mindy, Nigel, Ayrton and Audra Shelly, Jenna Heil, Dennis (Jen) Heil, Tony, Rachel, and Becca Snyder, Chad (Dynae), and Josh Morganti; great-grandchildren Johnny Morganti and Paige and Ava Heil.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 6-8:00 P.M.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. with the Rev. Nicholas A. Cleveland officiating. Interment will follow in the Apple Creek Cemetery.
