He was born February 21, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio to Colin and Margaret Fadely Haas.   He attended Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated in 1959 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.   While at OWU he was the President of his fraternity Beta Theta Pi and lettered in two sports – football, baseball.   He met his true love, Marilyn, at Ohio Wesleyan University and on August 6, 1960, he married Marilyn Sayer Ellis in Elmira, New York and began a beautiful marriage of 61 years together.

  4. Pat and I are so sorry to hear of Barry’s passing. I spent three wonderful years at OWU with Barry and Marilyn and had the privilege of being an usher in their wedding. What a beautiful couple, in every way. It was a blessing for me to talk to Barry and Marilyn after they moved to Wooster. I’ll always remember the many wonderful times together. Rest in peace, my friend.
