WOOSTER – Bernard P. Buchholz of Wooster peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at West View Healthy Living following a period of declining health.
He was born January 13, 1926 to August G. and Nora Emma (Fesler) Buchholz in the Wooster Hospital.
After graduating from Wooster High School in 1944, he served in the Army during WWII. He had been a farmer his entire life raising potatoes and grains. He was an avid euchre player and was a fan of the College of Wooster basketball. He was very generous to his family and community.
He was a member of Wayne County Farm Bureau, the Ohio Potato Growers, and St. Mary Church.
He is survived by 31 nieces and nephews and their families
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Leo Buchholz, James Buchholz and John Buchholz; sisters Agnes Buchholz, Lucy McCoy, Hilda Offineer, Blanche Brazis and Edna Blanchard; and a nephew.

Private family services will be held.   Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  2. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Bernard when I worked at W V H L in the Activity Dept Bernard loved to play cards and going to Mass Bernard will be missed by his card friends and all that knew him My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Marita Buchanan

  3. Mr Buchholz, his siblings and my parents are members of the greatest generation. I primarily knew his family through St Mary’s Church and many of his nieces and nephews were classmates at St Mary’s Elementary School and Wooster High School. He and his extended family were kind, loving and generous. God bless to all.
