WOOSTER – Bettyjane Clark, 72, of Wooster passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020 at the Wayne Co. Center from pneumonia.

She was born July 4, 1947 in Wooster, Ohio, the daughter of Wayne Henry and Martha Sekerak Myers.  She grew up on the family farm across from what is now Johnny Appleseed Allotment.  She attended Franklin Twp. School and was in the first graduating class of Triway High School.  She attended Kent State University as an art major.

On August 27, 1977 she married Carey Michael Clark in Central Christian Church by the Rev. Hobart Johnson and Rev. Harrison Aspinall.  When trucking logs were written, Mike and Bettyjane were on the road with Mike’s trucking business.  Bettyjane was a telephone operator for United Telephone Co. in Wooster and had also worked at Cedar Point.

She enjoyed visiting art museums, walking in Barnes Preserve, singing karaoke, naming old tunes, attending many activities, picnics and parties at the Wayne Co. Care Center and atttending the Wayne Co. Fair.

She is survived by a sister Joanne Baker of Wooster; brothers Albert (Thelma) Myers of Shreve, Wayne (Sue) Myers of Wooster and Elmer Myers of Wooster; sisters-in-law Karen Clark and Valerie Myers both of Wooster; special friend Tom Dilgard “chicken man” of West Salem; guardian Betty Schuler of Wooster.

She was preceded in death by husband in 2015, her parents, brother’s Ron and Charles, grandparents Albert and Melissa Blackstone Myers and Joseph and Mary Brindza Sekerak.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

I sincerely offer my condolences to the family in the passing of Bettyjane. Upon my recent appointment to Moreland United Methodist Church, I enjoyed my visits with her. I was very impressed with with her memory and her ability to remember. May God's peace and blessing be with each of you.
