WOOSTER – Billy Joe Adams, 59, of Wooster passed away at his home on Thursday, September 3, 2020.

He was born April 13, 1961 in Wooster the son of Milford Jr. and Shirley Sovel Adams.  He married Sondra Holden on December 24, 2005.  She survives.

He was a Bobcat operator at Metallics U.S.A. and had previously worked on the railroad.  He enjoyed playing poker and coon hunting.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Sondra, are his children Wade Lee (Dainyelle) Adams of Orrville and Melanie Adams of Wooster; a step daughter Jessica Anne Holden of Orrville; a step-daughter-in-law Courtney Holden of Wooster; grandchildren Katelynn Adams, Wade Adams Jr., Demitrius Wellman, Cameron Chaney, Braylen Adams, Kansas Adams and Nikole Adams; 10 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings Connie (Brian VanDyne) Adams, Dorothy (John) Garver, Tina (Tim) Yates and Junior (Tammy) Adams all of Wooster and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son William Adams, a step-son Charles Holden and his best friend Bobby Joe Akers.

Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 4-8:00 p.m.

Private family services will be livestreamed on the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Facebook Page on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 starting at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be in the Reedsburg Cemetery.  Due to COVID-19, face masks are required and social distancing will be observed.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
