WOOSTER Bobby Merle Parker, 81, of Wooster is walking in Heaven today after being in a wheelchair for 31 years. Bobby passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at West View Healthy Living.
He was born March 1, 1938 in Mannington, West Virginia, the son of Robert and Edna Fluharty Parker. He married Carrie L. Morgan on February 1, 1958. She survives.
He retired in 1988 as a mill operator from International Paper. Bobby was a member of West Hill Baptist Church and had proudly served his country with the U.S. Army.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Carrie, are his children, Jeff (Robin) Parker of Smithville, Pam Parker of Wooster and Mindy Cabbell of Perrysville; grandchildren, Joseph Parker, Rebekah (Chris) Croskey, Jeremiah Parker, Bobby Ewing, Elizabeth Cabbell and Hannah Cabbell; great-grandchildren, Leon and Dillon Croskey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
There will be no calling hours and private graveside services will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
