WOOSTER – Bud CLOW, 84, of Wooster, OH, died Thursday, October 23, 2008 in Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born March 12, 1924 in Killbuck, son of Dewey and Lela Gallion Clow.
Bud retired in 1980 after 34 years as a dispatcher with Columbia Gas Transmission Co..
He was Past Commander of American Legion Post 499 of West Salem, a member of the Ashland Post of the American Legionn, a member of the V.F.W. and the Masonic Lodge. He served his country with the U.S. Army. He was a 1943 graduate of Wooster High School.
Surviving are his children Patricia (Jerry) Plank of Seale, AL, Shirley Monharis of Lakewood, CO, Sandra (Ron) Stover of Ashland, J.J. Clow of Ashland, Sherry (Jim) Anderson of W. Salem, and William Michael Clow of TX; Step-children, Blaine Auville of Washington, WV, Rick Auville of CA, Gene Auville of Ashland, OR and Melanie Boston of FL and 12 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nellie Derr Clow, on May 4, 1997, a sister Doris Adams and a brother Earl Clow.
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster 1 hour prior to the 1:00 P.M. service on Saturday, October 25, 2008. Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
