Carl Pipher, 96, of Smithville died Monday, November 27, 2017 at his home.
He was born August 27, 1921 in Chardon to Louis and Beryl L. Maltbie Pipher.   He was married to Geraldine Brokaw for over 45 years before she preceded him in death in 2016.
Carl served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.   He was a truck driver and loved to golf.
He is survived by his daughter Tonja Hathaway of Smithville; grandchildren T.J. Devore and Jordan Jackson and a sister Elizabeth Herman of Fredericksburg along with nieces and nephews.  
Along with his wife, Carl was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
There will be no calling hours or services.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
Contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
