WOOSTER – Carol J. Boyles, 76, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at her home.

She was born January 16, 1942 in Wooster, the daughter of Harley and Ada Shrimplin Jones.  She married Thomas J. Boyles on November 18, 1961.  He survives.

She was a 1960 graduate of Shreve High School and had been a switch board operator for the Wooster/Cleveland Clinic for 30 years before her retirement.  Carol was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Kathy (Tom) Meyer of Wooster and John (Susie) Boyles of Mooresville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Joseph (Emily) Meyer of Columbus, twins, Carrie (Zach) McPherson of Columbus and Caitlin Rose of Wooster, twins, Rachael and Rebecca Boyles of Mooresville, NC; and great-grandchildren, Jack Meyer and Nora McPherson and a brother, James (Janice) Jones of Shreve.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Michael Thomas Boyles and a brother and sister-in-law, Elwood and Joy Jones.

There will be no calling hours.  Graveside services will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the Columbarium at St. Mary Cemetery.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.

What wonderful memories we shared together. Our children grew up together on Gasche Street. Carol, you were always a caring and wonderful person. I am so glad you are finally at rest. You will be missed!!

My thoughts go out to Carol's family at this sad time. I worked with Carol for many years at the Wooster Clinic. She was a lovely and kind person. Her caring nature impacted many people. She will be missed.

Tom, Cathy,John, and families, I was devastated at the news of Carol's passing. She was such a love, always so kind and caring, and so much fun. I have many, many great memories of so many fun times that do, and always will, bring a smile to my face and a warmth in my heart. I know she has earned her wings. RIP Carol.
