WOOSTER – Carol Marie SCHEIBE, 72, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born January 26, 1938 in Ashland County, the daughter of Martin Luther and Gladys Lavengood Shane.
She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the family farm and for Frito Lay back in the late 50’s and early 60’s. She had lived on the family dairy farm for the last 53 years. Carol enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to the livestock shows at the Wayne County Fair..
Surviving are husband, Clifford E. Gene Scheibe whom she married April 20, 1958; a son, Rod (Addie) Scheibe of Wooster and daughters Karen (Tim) Anderson of W. Salem and Paula (Dave) Bender of Wooster; grandchildren, Amanda (Willis) Raber, Ben Scheibe, Matthew, Megan, Michael, and Jennifer Anderson and Kalie and Shane Bender. a great-grandson, Anthony Scheibe and a sister, Donna (Duane) Scheibe of Jeromesville.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M.
Funeral Services will be held at the First Church of God on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 1:00 PM with the Revs. Ken Thomas and Arnie Kauffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Shreve.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6155 Rockside Rd., Suite 202, Independence, OH 44131-2217.
