Carolene (Carol) C. Strickler, 71, of Wooster passed away Tuesday September 26, 2017.

She was born January 3, 1946 in West Virginia, to Okey and Zella Chadock Maxwell. She married Donald R. Strickler, November 1984.

Carol was a housekeeper at the Apple Creek Development Center. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family. She loved seeing here grandkids and great grand babies.

We will always want more time, but God says "I know the plans I have for you". Our hearts ache and tears flow, but we take comfort in the fact that you are no longer suffering.

She is survived by her children Teresa (Randy) Kendall of Wooster, Debby (Richard) Miller of Orrville, and daughter-in-law Teresa McGeorge of Apple Creek. Brother and sisters, Ron Maxwell, Doshia (Matt) Jones of Colorado, and Yvonne Stendel of West Virginia, along with her 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and her faithful canine and feline companions, Spike and Macy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald and her son, Terry.

Mom, We will miss you so much! Give Terry and Don a hug from all of us. Please come visit us in our dreams.

Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 1:00 p.m. service on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, Ohio 44691 with the Pastor Mark McCord.

So many memories. We shared a lot of good times and helped each other through some bad times. Carol and Don were always there for me when I needed them. R.I.P. Carol, in the arms of the two special men in your life, Don and Terry. Love and prayers for strength and comfort to her family.
