WOOSTER Carolyn Arnold, 89, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at West View Healthy Living.
She was born April 29, 1928 in Wayne Co., Michigan, the daughter of David Hayes and Maude Dunbar Permar. She married Clarence Jay Arnold in 1950. He preceded her in death on November 6, 1986.
Carolyn had worked at the former Fisher s Big Wheel for 25 years and at the YMCA as a food prep cook for Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs for 10 years. She was a member of the Northview Alliance Church. Carolyn was an active member of Topps 1249, enjoyed collecting Cats Meows and Longabeger Baskets. She was a member of Ponies of America Club and a member of the Wayne Co. Saddle Club.
Surviving are her children, Marcia Owen of Texas, Christine Hinton and Lisa (Robert) Lucci both of Wooster; her grandchildren Bridget (Jay) Varnes and Ericka (Michael) Moore and Chad (Erin) Lucci and great-grandchildren, Conner and Caden Varnes and Kasen Moore.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, David Hayes Permar, Jr., Elizabeth Bontrager and Martha Permar and a son-in-law, Jerry Hinton
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be in the Wooster Cemetery.
