œTogether Again
WOOSTER – Carolyn Weaver, 86, of Wooster passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Brookdale Wooster following declining health.
She was born December 3, 1933 in Wooster, daughter of the late David and Grace (Shelly) Stair. Carolyn married Ron Weaver, on October 21, 1956 at Central Christian Church in Wooster. Ron passed away on December 10, 2010, and now Ron and Carolyn are together again.
Carolyn graduated from Wooster High School in 1951 and worked in the office at Wooster Rubber Co. (Rubbermaid) before marriage. Together, Ron and Carolyn opened Ron’s Color Shop in downtown Wooster, where they worked side-by-side for 45 years. Ron and Carolyn worked as a team, assisting customers with paint, wallpaper, floor covering, and artist supply selections. Professional custom picture framing was the primary service Ron’s Color Shop was known for, with returning customers from throughout the U.S. Even though their merchandise selections may have changed over the years, their customer base grew to be family.
A member of Central Christian Church since 1946, Carolyn was a life deaconess and Christian Women’s Fellowship member.
Ron and Carolyn lived their married life in Wooster and cherished time spent with family. The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Wooster and the LifeCare Hospice team for their loving care, compassion and kindness to Carolyn.
Surviving are daughter, Deb (Gale) Wilcox of Wooster; grandchildren Troy (Meg) Wilcox of Wooster, Tara (Rowdy) White of Wooster and Samantha Weaver of the Cleveland area; and six great-grandchildren; Adam, Brevin and Maria Wilcox and Braxton, Clay and Emory White.
In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Weaver.
There will be no calling hours and a private grave side service will be at Jefferson Pioneer Cemetery, Wooster, with Brian White officiating.
