APPLE CREEK Charles Curt Morris, 74 of Apple Creek Passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at his home.
He was born September 1, 1947 in Antrin, Ohio the son of Herman and Edna Carter Morris. He married Carol M. Messner on December 21, 1966. She survives.
Curt was a graduate of Waynedale High School, was an Auctioneer and worked for the Engineering Department. He was a member of the Apple Creek United Methodist Church.
He had been a member of the Apple Creek Civic Improvement Committee for 7 years, a 50-year member of the Ebeneezer Lodge, a life member of the Apple Creek American Legion and had donated his time as an Auctioneer for 35 years at the Wayne Co. Fair. Curt enjoyed his horses, liked to rope calves and loved spending time with his family.
He proudly served his country with the US. Army during the Vietnam War.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Carol, are his children Cathleen (Duane) Slabaugh of Stockbridge, GA and Candy (Jeffrey) Mori of Dalton; grandchildren Isaac, Conner and Nya Mori, Elizabeth Anderson, Ashley Baxter and Tyler Slabaugh and 5 great-grandchildren; siblings Ray Carter, Phyllis Holmes and Randal Morris.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the funeral service on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Hospice Chaplain Darcy Miller officiating.. Burial will follow in the Apple Creek Cemetery.
