Clara Ester Boyd, 87, of Wooster died Thursday, December 20, 2018 at West View Healthy Living.
She was born November 20, 1931 in Chandlerville, IL to Leo and Iva Force Duckwiler.   On November 12, 1948, she married William Boyd who served in the Army during World War II.   He preceded her in death in 1993.
Clara worked directly with the patients at the Apple Creek Development Center.   She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, antiques, yard sales, crafting and fishing.
She is survived by her children William Boyd, David Boyd and Barbara (Randall) Wilcox all of Wooster, Shirley Wallace and Dorothy (Randall) Casto both of Apple Creek and Violet Love of West Salem; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren and brothers Eddie Duckwiler and Danny (Chloe) Duckwiler both of Chandlerville, IL and a sister Janet Landis of Beardtown, IL along with many nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, Clara was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Dillon Casto, great-granddaughter Haley Kruit along with seven siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating.   Interment will follow in New Pittsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
