Cory Steven Airwyke, 25 of Wooster, died Friday March 6, 2009 at Wooster Community Hospital. Born on May 4, 1983 in Wooster to Steven and Kimberly (Iannarelli) Airwyke. Cory was a 2001 graduate of Wooster High School and a 2003 graduate of Pennsylvania Culinary Institute. He was a chef at Stingers in Seville and was an avid sports player and loved cooking for family and friends. FCCLA at Wooster High School sparked his interest in cooking. Cory is survived by his parents of Wooster, sisters Brittany Airwyke of Mt. Vernon and Leslie Airwyke of Wooster, maternal grandparents Tom and Karen Iannarelli; paternal grandmother Gloria Airwyke and paternal great grandmother Bertha Shambaugh all of Wooster. Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday March 11, 2009 at 11:00 am at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster, with Father Stephen Moran officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 10, 2009 from 5-9 pm at the funeral home.
