WOOSTER “ David P. Thomas, 75, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Ohio State University Wexner Center.
He was born May 27, 1942 in Wooster, the son of Verde P. and M. Lucile Breneman Thomas.   He married Linda Fry on April 14, 1962.   She survives.
David was a 1960 graduate of Northwestern High School and was a retired truck driver.   In his retirement, he was a Transport Driver for Wooster Community Hospital for the past 10 years.   He was a member of the First Church of God.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping and watching his grandchildren ™s sports activities.
David proudly served his country from 1960-1966 in the National Guard.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda, are his children, Melissa (Steve) Kelley of Cincinnati and Chris (Allen) Cornelius of Shreve; his grandchildren, Devin Kelley, Shane Kelley, Mary Cornelius and Beth Cornelius and a sister, Carolyn (Larry) Alexander of Big Prairie.
Friends will be received on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 4-8:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church of God, 1953 Akron Rd., Wooster with the Rev. Arnie Kaufman and Pastor Thomas Alexander officiating.   Private family burial will be held.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children ™s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Harold Cooper, William Hixson, Emerson Stull and Dan Becker for their kind friendship to David.
