WOOSTER – Deborah Lorine Purtz, 68, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, teacher, peacefully passed away April 13, 2017 in a lovely room at LifeCare Hospice.
She was born in Cleveland on September 5, 1948.
Deborah is remembered by her husband Fritz, son Devon, daughter Diana, and by her large and wonderful extended family. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and former students.  
Deborah was a devoted teacher for over 40 years. Over the course of her career, she taught French and Spanish classes to every grade from preschool up through college.  Deborah began her career teaching high school French in Lancaster, OH. She spent the last decade of her career, teaching French and Spanish to middle schoolers in Grandview, OH.
A service will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, OH.
Those who wish may make contributions to the funeral home to help with expenses.
