  7. Dominique was such a light. We watched her grow up through the years at St Mary and into high school. She always had a smile and hello for us. I loved how she had decided to become the drum major for the band her senior year just to try it out. Her valedictorian speech at graduation was memorable and powerful, and so indicative of the strong woman she had become. My heart breaks for you all as you grieve over this tremendous loss. May God be with her in her journey to heaven. Blessings and prayers to the Nguyen family. Our deepest condolences

  16. I’m heartbroken. Dominique was such a joy to have as an 8th grader during my time teaching at St. Mary. Her list of accomplishments and accolades are great; however, I’ll always cherish the memory of how she learned to tie bow ties in my class and then proceeded to tie my own spare classroom bow ties on her fellow classmates… a sort of shared 8th grade camaraderie. Condolences to the Nguyen family… you are all in my own family’s thought and prayers. Requiescat in pace, Dominique.

  68. Donut was such a beautiful human being. Although I did not know her personally, I saw her everyday in marching band as such a bright personality that made those she was close with feel so good in her presence. I have heard so many wonderful stories of her from mutual friends and classmates. I so badly wish I would’ve been confident enough to walk up and get to know her. I know I would have been a better person if I would have been lucky enough to know her personally. I want to extend all my love to you and the assurance that Donut’s memory will live on brightly.
