Donna Marie (Diehl) Thomas of Wooster, Ohio went to be with the lord on July 10th, 2021.   Donna was born on October 10th 1937 in Everett, Pennsylvania to Merle Diehl and Vera and Charles May (all deceased). She had one sister Betty Diehl (deceased).
Donna grew up in Everett, Pennsylvania and graduated from Everett High School.   In high school, she was a majorette and participated in Band and Choir.   Because Donna always had a dream of becoming a nurse, she pursued her dream at St. Mary ™s School of Nursing in Clarksburg, West Virginia and graduated as a Registered Nurse.   She then later moved to Cleveland to work at University Hospital.
Donna had met Gordon in Clarksburg, West Virginia.   While both were in school, they dated when time permitted and later married in 1960.
Donna has two daughters Valarie VanTilburg of Columbus, Ohio and Vickie Thomas Januska (son in-law John Januska) of North Ridgeville, Ohio.   She has 5 grandchildren (Nicole, Brittany, Zachary, Connor and Logan) and 3 great grandchildren (Haidyn, Nash and Nora).
Donna also has a niece Shelba Purtle of Pennsylvania and a nephew Gene Feight of Virginia
The family moved to Wooster in 1970 where Donna worked as a nurse for 34 years at Wooster Community Hospital in various roles.    When not working, she enjoyed many different activities such as Square Dancing, Motorcycle riding, and traveling to new and favorite places.      Donna was known for always enjoying life, being positive and never meeting a stranger.     Donna was an active member of the First Church of God with her husband Gordon.
Donna and Gordon, her husband (surviving) would have been married 61 years next month.     Together they made the family complete, separate; they will one day meet again.
