Doris Geraldine Morrison, 88, of Smithville died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.
She was born November 4, 1929 in Wooster to Dorius C. “DC” and Aura Samantha Albright Jensen. Doris graduated from Smithville High School in 1948. On June 29, 1952, she married Walter Theodore Morrison. He preceded her in death in 2011.
Doris was a member of Smithville Brethren Church and had worked for 10 years at Citizen’s National Bank as head of Bookkeeping and Proof Departments. She had also owned Morrison’s Upholstery for 15 years. Doris enjoyed needlework, painting, sewing and gardening.
Doris is survived by her children James (JoAnne) Morrison of Nashville and Denise Pittman of Wooster; grandchildren Cody (Brooke) Pittman, Heather (Tim) Rodi, Amanda Morrison and Myra (Denis Severino) Morrison; great-grandchildren Evan and Isabella Rodi, Liberty, Camden Pittman and great-granddaughter Pittman due on Friday and brothers Marvin (Norma) Jensen of Orrville and Wendell (Donita “Donnie”) Jensen of Haymarket, VA.
Along with her husband, Doris was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Corinne Robinson half-brothers Ralph and Richard Jensen and a half-sister Verena Lichtenberger.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Smithville Brethren Church, 241 E. Main St., Smithville, with Rev. Art Carr officiating. Interment will follow in Smithville Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster.
