Dorothy Mae Smith, 62, of Wooster died September 1, 2017 at Akron General Hospital.
Dorothy was born August 29, 1955 in Beallsville to Milton James and Estella Vaness Ady.   She married James Allen Smith on May 14, 1974.
She was a homemaker and a member of River of Life Faith Center, 305 Palmer St., Wooster.   Dorothy was rarely seen not taking pictures. Dorothy also  enjoyed knitting, making jewelry, coloring and crafts.   She was also an avid collector of Teddy Bears and Angels.   Dorothy enjoyed writing out her favorite scriptures.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by children Kimberly Mellissa Smith, Stephanie Ann Smith, Jimmie Allen Smith, Jr., Ruby Zoe (Brian) Smith all of Wooster; grandchildren Perry Edward Harper, Jr., Brian David Odell Smith; siblings Helen Mendenhall, Nina (Jim) Wilson, Ray (Phyllis) Ady, Chester (Hazel) Ady, Sam Ady and Rose Young along with many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a grandson Damion Lee Johnson.
Friends will be received on Friday,  September 8, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 AM with the funeral service at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Apostle Dr. Lottie Mae Smith officiating.   Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, Ohio 44691 to help defray expenses.
