WOOSTER – Joseph Manuel Claparols, Doctor of Pathology, passed away unexpectedly this past Sunday, January 31, 2010 at his home in Wooster. He was 83.
He was born March 6, 1926 in Columbus, the son of Manuel and Helen (Smith) Claparols.
After spending most of his professional life living and working in Chicago, he returned to Wooster to care for his mother until her death in 1997. Since then he had remained in Wooster and led a quiet yet active retirement volunteering and worshiping at his church, St. Mary, gardening, and enjoying his family and friends.
He is survived by his nephews, Joseph Thomas Bloor of Huron, OH and his children Mary, Nancy and Jeppie and William Manuel Bloor of Shelby, OH.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his fraternal twin sister Mary Bloor.
Services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Avenue, Wooster, OH 44691 beginning at 10:00 A.M. with visiting hours until 11:30 A.M. at which time the Mass will begin. A luncheon will be held after services provided by St. Mary.
In lieu of flowers, donations are also being accepted for St. Mary Church, PO Box 109, Wooster, OH 44691.
