WOOSTER – Dr. Richard James WATKINS, 80, of Wooster, died Sunday, March 30, 2008 in University Hospital, Cleveland.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held at the St. James Episcopal Church, Saturday, April 5, 2008, at 1:30 P.M. with the Rev. Evelyn Manzella officiating.
The family requests that contributions be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 127 W. North St., Wooster, OH 44691.
Born October 2, 1927 in Grafton, WV, he was the son of Merle Watkins and Elsie Thayer.
He was a graduate of West Virginia University and the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and was a retired Orthopaedic Surgeon
Member of St. James Episcopal Church of Wooster where he had served on the Vestry and had served his country with the U. S. Army. Dr. Watkins was a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, American Board of Surgery, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeery, and the Wayne Co. Medical Society. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Kimball Frease Watkins, a son, James Frease (Alison) Watkins of Chestnut Hill, MA, granddaughter, Amy and a brother, William M. Watkins of S Charleston, WV.
