WOOSTER – Edna V. MAIRS, 93, of Wooster, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 in West View Manor Nursing Home.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster, OH, on Friday evening from 6-8:00 P.M.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Saturday, August 23, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Robert Moskowitz officiating. Interment will follow in Plain Cemetery.

Born December 28, 1914 in Wayne Co., OH, she was the daughter of George and Sarah Shriver.
She was a homemaker and had helped her husband on the family farm. Member of the Plain Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aid, member of Gnat Boxers, and the Friendly Neighbor Club.
Surviving are her children Max (Betty) Mairs, Neal (Karol) Mairs, Shirley (Paul) McDowell all of Wooster and Janet (Marion) Miller of Shreve; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Donna) Shriver of Wooster, and a sister, Florence (Blake) Swartz of Wooster.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray W. Mairs, on July 4, 1993 whom she married November 11, 1933, a sister, Inez Curry and brothers Carl, William and Forrest Shriver.
