Eileen L. McCune, 90 of Wooster died Friday November 6, 2009 at Wooster Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday November 13th 2009 at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster, Ohio 44691 with Rev. Larry Black officiating. Burial will follow in Hoskinsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm.
She was born January 12, 1919 in Lima Ohio the daughter of Edward and Thelma Roop Duriez. On Aug. 28, 1937 she married Derwood A. McCune who preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1989.
Eileen had worked for the William Annat Company and also ran Mac?s General Store in West Canaan. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wooster where she had been a member of the choir and Social Club. She was also a member of the Garden and Flower Club in Florida. Eileen enjoyed flowers and singing. She loved her children and grandchildren, and was a kind hearted lady who will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Surviving are her two daughters: Jacqueline (Ernest) Gelman of Bedford New York and Marilyn (William) Guisinger of Springfield TN. 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A sister: Duddy Ogden of California.
Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother: Harold Duriez and a sister: Mickey Fisher.
