WOOSTER – Eleanor E. Tylka, 92, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.

Eleanor was born on September 26, 1926 in New Philadelphia, Ohio the daughter of Samuel and Clara Dorsey Kopp. She married Marion Tylka on July 19, 1948. He preceded her in death in 1969. Eleanor was a 1944 graduate of Tuscarawas High School. She retired from Bell & Howell as a Librarian, and had previously worked at Frito Lay. Eleanor enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, and working in her flower garden. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Surviving are her children, Christine (Duane) Hamlin of Wooster, Michael (Jann) Tylka of Knoxville, TN, Angela Good of Wooster, and Jeffrey (Sharon) Tylka of Shreve; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; Siblings, Carol Brick and Larry Kopp both of New Philadelphia, Sammy Kopp of Canton, Eddie Kopp of Solon, and Danny Kopp of Mansfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Timothy Tylka in 2014, a grandson Adam Good in 2017, and siblings Loretta Edie, James Kopp, Mary McConnell, Maxine Basiletti, and Marjorie Degen.

Calling Hours will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 6-8PM at the McIntire, Bradham and Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster, with Father Stephen Moran officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Wooster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 or St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster, OH 44691.
