WOOSTER “ Elizabeth Irene Wilkin Loyd, 93 of Wooster passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Smithville Western Care Center.
She was born March 2, 1924 in Johnetta, Kentucky, the daughter of Riley and Della Dowell Ballinger.   She married Lester D. Wilkin on August 1, 1947.   He preceded her in death on October 22, 1982.   On July 9, 1990 she married Merrill Loyd.   He preceded her in death on April 26, 1991.
Irene was a homemaker and a member of the Parkview Christian Church.   She enjoyed reading and sewing.
Surviving are her children, Brenda (LeRoy) Stevens of Port Huron, Mich., Cynthia (Ken) Blanchard of Apple Creek and Melody (Steve) Workman of Wooster; grandchildren, Tiffany (Chris) Francis, Brooke (Mark) Imhoff, Blake (Ryan) Stevens, Audrey (Tim) Lombardo and Morgan Workman; three great-grandchildren; step-children, Sherrie (Jim) Holmes, Jane (Mike) Addair and John (Mary) Loyd; 8 step-grandchildren and a sister Eula Montgomery of Newark.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded by her parents, 3 sisters and 7 brothers.
Friends will be received at the Parkview Christian Church, 1912 Burbank Rd., Wooster 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Saturday, October 28, 2017 with Pastor Brian White officiating.   Private burial will be in the Eden Cemetery, St. Louisville.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
