Emerson B. Westfall, 91, of Wooster, OH, passed away May 17, 2009 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born March 21, 1918 in Ashland County, Ohio, son of Vernon E. and Zora P. Bunyan Westfall.
Emerson worked as a Technical Designer for Rubbermaid, Diamonite, and Wooster Brush.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a long time member of the Wooster Elks.
Surviving are sons, Robert J. (Norma)Westfall of Akron, Alan D. (Beth) Westfall of Dalton, and Leland C. (Connie) Westfall of Canal Fulton, OH, granddaughter, Jill R. Dostal,
granddaughter, Anne M. Williams, granddaughter, Lisa A. Westfall, grandson, Scott A. Westfall, grandson, Drew A. Westfall, granddaughter, Lydia Y. Dennison, and great-grandsons, Erik and Blake Williams.
Emerson was preceded in death by his wives Genevieve Mackey Westfall and Helen Critchfield Westfall and sister Eileen Smith.
Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 20, 2008 with Rev. James Watt officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster, on Tuesday from 6-8 PM with an Elks service to be held at 5:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wooster Elks Scholarship Fund, 335 N. Market St., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
