WOOSTER “ Eva Irene Stutz, 91, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Rittman.
She was born September 19, 1926 in Sterling, the daughter of Joseph œMelvin  and Stella Zuchowski Blough.   She married Walter J. Stutz on April 18, 1959.   He preceded her in death on October 22, 2013.
She was a 1944 graduate of Sterling High School and retired in 1989 after 18 years at Waynedale High School as the secretary for the guidance counselors.   She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was involved in the Mission Circle.   She enjoyed music, reading, praying and everything having to do with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Melissa (William) Rosenbaum of Orrville, Brian (Deborah) Stutz of Springfield, VA, and John (Michelle) Stutz of Greenfield, IN; grandchildren, Eric Rosenbaum, Nathan (Kristina) Rosenbaum, Spencer Rosenbaum, Morgan Stutz, Ian Stutz, Allison (Julian) Judge, Patrick Stutz, Ethan Stutz, Sarah Stutz and Rachel Stutz; great-grandchildren, Josephine Irene Judge and Walter Keith Judge and a sister, Betty Besancon of Sterling.   Also a brother-in-law, Loran (Shirley) Stutz of Lore City and sisters-in-law, Jenny (Sam) Gasbarre of Richfield, Mary (Charlie) Williams of Massillon and Martha Stutz of Danville.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service at the Church on Wednesday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 12:00 noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with Rev. Stephen Moran as the celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Apostolic Christian Home and LifeCare Hospice for their care and compassion.
