Wooster Evelyn Jean Buchholz, 86, of Wooster passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at West View Healthy Living.
She was born, July 12, 1933 in Wayne County, the daughter of William T. and Mildred McCauslin Odenkirk.   She married Leon F. Buchholz on December 10, 1960.   He preceded her in death on August 22, 2019.
She had worked for the former A & P Company as head cashier for 29 years and then she worked for Buehler ™s in the meat department.   She was a member of the East Union Lutheran Church.   Evelyn loved playing Bingo and going to yard sales.
Surviving is a sister, Irene Snyder of Wooster and a Brother Ralph Odenkirk of Apple Creek and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Donald Odenkirk, Dorothy Geiser, Harold Odenkirk, Naomi Rodi, Robert Odenkirk, Arlene Ramsier and 2 infant siblings.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.   Burial will follow in the Apple Creek Cemetery.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Suite E, Green, OH 44685.
The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice and all the nieces and nephews especially Donna and Leroy Hart for all their care.

  3. Evelyn was always an elegant grown-up presence at East Union on Sunday mornings, every Sunday of my childhood. I remember her mother, Mildred Odenkirk, also. Irene and Ralph, we are sorry for your loss. (From the Herman and Dorothy Lautzenheiser family).
