WOOSTER – Forest E HUTCHISON, 83, of Wooster died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 in West View Manor Nursing Home.
He was born April 24, 1925 in Wayne County, the son of Charles V. and Fayetta Budd Hutchison.
He had worked for 27 years at Rubbermaid, retired as a truck driver, had also farmed and had worked at Astro-Met for 10 years. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and had served as President of the Rubbermakers Union. He loved fishing and farming. Served his country with the U. S. Navy during WWII from May 29, 1944 to May 26, 1946.
Surviving are wife, Geneva Hartzler Hutchison, whom he married January 20, 1950; children Tyra (Scott) Harrison of The Woodlands, TX, Larry Hutchison of Reedsburg, Karen Polley of Jeromesville and Steve Hutchison of Big Prairie, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; son-in-law Brent Bradford of Jeromesville, sisters, Levina (Paul) Funk of Wooster and LaDonna Cornell of Lake Elsinore, CA.
Forest was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Kelly Bradford on July 28, 2008, brothers, Glenn Hutchison and Charles Hutchison, Jr., sisters, Virginia Baughman, Vida Leininger and Pauline Hutchison.
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday from 3-5:00 P.M.
Services will be held at the funeral home Monday, December 8, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Layton Broome officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
