Forest E. Weiser, 91, of Wooster died Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living.
He was born May 25, 1926 in Wooster to John Owen and Flora Dora Fittler Weiser.  On Jan 12, 1947, he married Lillie Mackey.   She preceded him in death.
Forest was a lifelong farmer and also retired in 1988 after 31 ½ years as a truck driver for the J.M. Smucker Company.   He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving on the U.S.S. Proteus.   Forest was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, the Apple Creek American Legion the Farm Bureau and the NRA.   He served on many church committees including the Cemetery Committee and Church Council.
He is survived by his children Ron (Christine) Weiser of West Salem and Bonnie (Jeff Rickel) Kinney of Lexington; 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild; numerous great great grandchildren; sister Jeanette Tennet of Wooster and a brother Clifford Weiser of Lebanon, TN along with many many nieces and nephews.
Along with his wife, Forest was preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandchildren and siblings Margaret Leitch, Carolyn Hughes, Richard, William, Earl and Gary Weiser.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Salem Lutheran Church, 4873 Cleveland Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 with Rev. Sharon R. Brown officiating.   Private interment will be in the Salem Church Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Contributions may be made to the Salem Lutheran Cemetery Fund, 4873 Cleveland Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 or to any Hospice organization.
