Forest E. Weiser, 91, of Wooster died Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living.

He was born May 25, 1926 in Wooster to John Owen and Flora Dora Fittler Weiser.  On Jan 12, 1947, he married Lillie Mackey.  She preceded him in death.

Forest was a lifelong farmer and also retired in 1988 after 31 ½ years as a truck driver for the J.M. Smucker Company.  He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving on the U.S.S. Proteus.  Forest was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, the Apple Creek American Legion the Farm Bureau and the NRA.  He served on many church committees including the Cemetery Committee and Church Council.

He is survived by his children Ron (Christine) Weiser of West Salem and Bonnie (Jeff Rickel) Kinney of Lexington; 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild; numerous great great grandchildren; sister Jeanette Tennet of Wooster and a brother Clifford Weiser of Lebanon, TN along with many many nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife, Forest was preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandchildren and siblings Margaret Leitch, Carolyn Hughes, Richard, William, Earl and Gary Weiser.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Salem Lutheran Church, 4873 Cleveland Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 with Rev. Sharon R. Brown officiating.  Private interment will be in the Salem Church Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Contributions may be made to the Salem Lutheran Cemetery Fund, 4873 Cleveland Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 or to any Hospice organization.

Our heartfelt sympathy for the family. Hope you will find peace in your time of sorrow. Uncle Forest will be missed, but now he is with Aunt Lillie and is at peace.

Uncle Forest, you will be missed by all of us! What a wonderful, fun, jokester you were! Rest in Peach with Aunt Lillie, and all of your family already in Heaven! Ron and Bonnie, so sorry for your loss, you will find so much comfort in all your memories growing up, and knowing that your dad is with your mom now!

Thinking of you all and feeing for what you are going through! Another brother in heaven with the rest of the family! Wish I could be there. You are in my heart and prayers!

Ron, Bonnie, and family, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I loved visiting with Forest - I miss having dinner and playing cards with him, Dad (Homer) and Leland. He was so much fun to talk with, and laugh with! What a special man. With much love and respect for your Dad, Beth.

We are so very sorry for your loss, Uncle Forest will be missed by all. Heaven gained another angel and he is with Aunt Lillie.

Ron, we are so sorry to see your dad leave you. He was such a wonderful man and one of the last from the Greatest Generation. We will miss seeing him at the Crum Reunions and are glad we had pictures from some of the last few ones. He had such a great soul and we hope he and Ethel (Mom) have a good sit down to talk about all of us here. We look forward to seeing you in the future and God Bless you.
