WOOSTER – Frances R. BONITZ, 84, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Wayne Co. Care Center.
She was born March 10, 1933 in Pleasant Mt., PA,   the daughter of Willis H. and Ruth Cassidy Barnes.   She married Howard J. Bonitz Sr. on January 29, 1955.   He survives.
Frances was a graduate of the Scranton State Hospital School of Nursing and had worked as a registered nurse at Wooster Community Hospital retiring in 1980.   She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Patricia (Jim) Phipps and Howard J., Jr. (Mary) Bonitz both of Wooster; grandchildren, Gayle, Joshua (Mandi)  and Jillian Phipps and Ryan (Stephanie)  Bonitz ; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Phipps and Cooper Phipps;   a brother Leon (Barbara) Barnes of Clifton Township, PA and a sister-in-law Shirley Bishop of Pottstown, PA.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Willis, Kermit, Douglas and John Barnes.
A memorial services will be held at the Wayne Co. Care Center, 876 S. Geyers Chapel Rd., Wooster on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ann Paynter officiating.   The family will receive friends following the service.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wayne Co. Care Center Auxiliary or LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
