Obituary
SHREVE – Franklin D. Henderson, 73 of Shreve, died Friday, September 28, 2007 in Wooster Community Hospital.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home,
216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster, OH, Sunday 6-8 P.M.. and 1 hour prior to
the time of services.
Services will be held at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home,
Monday Oct. 1, 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Merlin Dye officiating
Interment will follow in Pioneer Cemetery near Loudonville.
Born March 22, 1934 in Dony, Ky., he was the son of Ben and Dona
Akers Henderson.
He retired as a Welder for Astro-Metallurgical, had been a truck driver for Ohio Silo and with his brother had a silo repair business. He was a
member of the Tiro United Baptist Church, and was an avid fan of Bluegrass music and loved gardening , hunting and fishing. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Messner
Henderson whom he had been married to for 54yrs. Son & his fiance Steve Henderson and Melinda Cholley of Wooster, adopted son and daughter Mechelle Carpenter & Craig Powley of Dalton, and Forrest & Sherri Messner of Millersburg.,
Sisters Susie Austin of Wooster, Irma Lance of Loudonville, and Adie & Delberet Gayheart of Ind., Special sister-in-law Barb Henderson Blair and her husband Eb of Lodi, and grandchildren Josh & Lisa Henderson, Evan Henderson, Myles Carpenter, and Felicia Messner. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and held a special place in his heart for his neices and nephews. he was preceded in death by brothers Brady, Edgel and Johnny, and sisters Clady Blachley and Ruby Gayheart. memory. Franklin was an organ & tissue donor to Life Banc.
