APPLE CREEK “ Fred Lewis Jones, 85, of Apple Creek passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice.
He was born August 8, 1933 in Cambridge, the son of Floyd Edward and Bernetta Ruggles Jones.   He married Wava Fetter on July 13, 1968.   She survives.
Fred retired from Frito Lay after 32 years of employment.   He enjoyed fishing, played bass in country bands for 30 years and enjoyed word search puzzles.
He proudly served his country with the US Navy during the Korean War.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Wava, are two children and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-son, Curtis Steiner in 1983.
There will be no services and a private burial will be held at the Wooster Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
