  4. Dan was one of my favorite people in the world. He was an avid library patron and was beloved by so many who knew him there through several decades. I’ll remember him best for his gentle nature, his amazing (and often very funny!) life stories, and for his deep curiosity about everything around him and his love of knowledge and for always learning more. My sincerest condolences to his wonderful family, who always stayed by his side and let him know how loved he was, and my sympathy to his many friends also.
