Gary Glen Gard, 73, of Wooster died Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born November 1, 1942 in Lakeville to Gifford and Daisy Weimer Gard.   On September 4, 1970, he married Janice Parks, who survives.
Gary was a member of North Wooster Baptist Church and had retired from Swartzentruber Accounting in 2009, but continued with tax preparation in his retirement.   He enjoyed reading, Cleveland Sports, walks with his family and dog and NASCAR.
Along with his wife, Gary is survived by his children Daisy (Neil D ™Sidocky) Gard of Lakewood and Greta (Tony Barger) Gard of Terra Haute, IN; grandchildren Emma Gard-Perrotta, Wren Gard, Eleanor Gard-Barger and Joe and Max D ™Sidocky; step-grandchildren Emma and James Barger; sisters Lena McDougale of Wooster and Ellen Kaufman of Loudonville and his German Shepherd, Reagan.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Herman Gard, Mary Hendrickson, Helen Poulson, Shirley Beale and Norma Burris.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 1:00p.m. at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Jamie Rickard officiating.   Interment will follow in Nashville Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8   p.m.
