Gary M. Halderman, 80, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home.
He was born September 15, 1937 in Wooster, the son of C. Mac and Elizabeth McGibney Halderman. On July 14, 1962 he married Marjorie M. œMidge  Kirchberg, who preceded him in death on January 3, 2012.
Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force “ Strategic Air Command serving from 1956-1960.   He had worked as a Loan Officer at Citizens National Bank, and at Bank One, until his retirement. After retiring, Gary ran his own private transportation service. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and following their activities. Gary also enjoyed collecting coins and trains.
He is survived by children, Valerie (Dan) Rowe and Sharon (Joel) Schmidt, both of Wooster; grandchildren, Caleb and Cameron Schmidt of Wooster; sisters-in-law, Shirley Kirchberg and Lynn (David Beckett) Bauer, both of Wooster; and many cousins.
In addition to his wife, Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received from 4-7 P.M. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. A private family graveside service will  be held  at a later date.

Visitation
Friends will be received from 4-7 P.M. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the funeral home.
