Gerald H. (Jerry) Reeves – August 26,1942 – March 3, 2019
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith 2 Tim. 4:7. Jerry fought the fight against polio, heart disease, and Parkinsons and now he has finished his race. Gerald H. Reeves was born August 27, 1942 in Smile, KY to Walter and Sylvia (Brady) Reeves.   When he was 5 years old the family moved to the farm in Pleasant Home, OH.
Jerry graduated from Northwestern High School where he greatly enjoyed playing center on the basketball team. In recent years he served on the committee for the Northwestern Alumni and Friends,
For over 50 years, Jerry worked in the gas and oil industry for David A. Waldron and Assoc. He started out as a roustabout, running a dozer, and pumper and worked up to being in charge of production. In 2005, he along with Jim Smail bought the company and in 2016 he sold it and retired. He was a memberof the Elks and of Mohican Church of the Brethren ..
Jerry leaves behind his loving wife Paula (Leistner), son Rick Reeves, daughters Christina (Bryan) Collopy and Stacie Reeves (fiance Lenny) and step-daughters Sandy Streit and Nikki (Tim) Broughton. He has 5 grandchildren Rachel (Tom), Nicole, Travis, Amanda, and Zach and 3 step grandsons Grayson, Nat, and Luke. He has one remaining sister Bonnie (Terry) Shultzman and many nieces and nephews.

Those already deceased besides his parents are sister Alice Morehouse and brothers Lloyd and Joe Reeves.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 6th from 5-8 p.m. at Mohican Church of the Brethren, 7759 N. Elyria Rd., West Salem. Funeral will be Thursday, March 7th at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Paul Bartholomew officiating.  A private burial will take place prior to the service.
