WOOSTER – Glenda Jean MCCLARAN, 74, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 in the Hospice Care Center in Akron.
She was born December 17, 1935 in Bellevue, Ohio, the daughter of Richard and Ruth Rees Cummings.
She retired from Rubbermaid and in her retirement she worked for Elder Beerman, Tiger Lilies and ProQuest. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star in Shreve.
Surviving are daughter, April Bresson of Defiance; grandchildren, Shawn McClaran, Tara (Vernon) Neeley and Joshua Harper; a great-grandson, Miles Neeley and a cousin Vernon Rees.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wayne E. McClaran, on June 19, 1995 whom she married April 11, 1955, a daughter, Cindy Harper and a son, Richard McClaran, her step-father Delmar Harbaugh and a half-brother Robert Harbaugh.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday evening from 6-8:00 P.M with an Eastern Star Service Memorial Service to be held at 5:45 P.M.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM with the Rev.Priscilla Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Shreve.
