Glenn Edward Walkenspaw, son of Clarence and Lucile (Wigfield) Walkenspaw, was born September 23, 1936, and departed this life on March 30, 2022 at the age of 85. He married Thelma Jean Peters on December 27, 1959. They were the parents of four children: Linda Beth (Don) Brown, Sublimity, OR.; Brian (Joy) Walkenspaw, Lancaster, OH.; Craig (Amy) Walkenspaw, Lancaster, OH.; and Lisa Bailey, Goshen, IN.; five grandchildren Chelsey (Brown) Kuenzi, Ridgefield, WA.; Melissa Bailey, Goshen, IN.; Benjamin Walkenspaw, Lancaster, OH.; Kent Bailey, Goshen, IN.;   and Samuel Walkenspaw, Lancaster, OH.; and two great-grandchildren Sadie Kuenzi, and Chloe Kuenzi.
Glenn was born in Newcomerstown, Ohio growing up in this area and graduating from Newcomerstown High School in 1954. He graduated from the Columbus Business School with a degree in accounting. In 1959, he was drafted into the United States Army serving in both Washington State as well as in Korea. He was employed by the Brown Steel Company in Columbus, Ohio for many years. In 1977, Glenn opened a Nationwide Insurance Office in Canal Winchester Ohio. In 2006, he retired from Nationwide Insurance Company. During his retirement years, he moved to the Wooster, Ohio area.
Dad enjoyed volunteering with the Lithopolis Boy Scott Troop 241 from 1974 to 1985. He enjoyed taking his family camping. Glenn was a member of the Lithopolis United Methodist Church.
He had a great passion for cars especially Model A cars. Over the years, he rebuilt several cars. He was a member of the Newark Viberators Car Club as well as the Antique Car Club of Central Ohio. Glenn and Thelma spent many happy days traveling with their old car friends. Glenn was a wonderful, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and will be greatly missed.
There will be no public services at this time.   He will be interred in the Lithopolis Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
