WOOSTER – Gloria M. King, 85 of Wooster passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
She was born November 10, 1935 in Wayne County, the daughter of Ralph R. and Kathryn B. Strock Fetter.
Gloria graduated from Wooster High School and the Mansfield General School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years retiring from Wooster Community Hospital. Gloria was a member of St. James Episcopal Church where she served on the hospitality committee for many years. She was well known for her sewing and knitting and enjoyed baking.
Surviving are her children Scott Gasser, Mary Gasser, Sandra (Brian) Nagle, Sharon (Gary) Broadwater and Cynthia (John) McCard; grandchildren Jason Gasser, Jennifer (Matt) Tyson, Brianna Nagle, Samuel Nagle, Katie Broadwater, Florrie McCard, Clementine McCard and Matilda McCard; great-grandchildren Brice Gasser, Brooke Gasser, Connor Gasser, Evelyn and Eleanor Tyson and a sister Wava Jones.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Howard D. King, a grandson Raymond Nagle, a brother-in-law Fred Jones and a nephew Curtis Steiner.
There will be no calling hours and private family graveside services will be held at the Smithville Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
