Harold Gene “Stoney” Amstutz, 64, of Wooster died on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Wooster Community Hospital.

He was born November 14, 1956 in Wadsworth to Clair and Mildred Shook Amstutz.  On June 12, 2004, he married Crystal Brian.  She survives.

Stoney had worked for Gershenslagers for over 15 years.  He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing, wood burning, go carting, building and flying model airplanes.  Stoney loved playing guitar, singing and spending time with his wife, children and his lab Marley and pug Milo.  He was a jokester.

Along with his wife, Stoney is survived by his children Heather, Rikki and Kody Amstutz all of Wooster and Michael Amstutz of Shreve; grandchildren Jasmine, Jacob and Raven Wengerd; Sully and Autumn; brothers Gary (Gail) Amstutz of Waynesboro, TN and Edward Amstutz of Wooster and a sister-in-law Nancy Amstutz of FL; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Emily Amstutz, grandson Donnell Chappell and siblings Delbert, Lucille and William Amstutz.

Private family services will be live streamed at 12 NOON Thursday, March 11, 2021 on the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home’s Facebook page.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 10:00 -12:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. 

Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be directed to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
