Harold J. Nau, 82, of Wooster died Friday, January 12, 2018 in Wooster Community Hospital.  
He was born June 29, 1935 in Caldwell to Edward J. and Nola Mary Miller Nau.   On September 17, 1960, he married Joan Forshey, who survives.
Harold was a 1953 graduate of Caldwell High School and moved to Wooster in 1960.   He served his country in the Army National Guard and in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Korea for a year.   He had worked for over 32 years at Rubbermaid.   He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the 555th Honors Detachment.   Harold loved working in his yard, collecting arrowheads and participating in the Honor Guard of the 555th.
Along with his wife, Harold is survived by his son Michael (Deb Himes) Nau of Wooster; son in law Mark Novelli of Wooster; grandchildren Kyle (Niki) Marcum of Wooster, Dana (Ed) Bailey of Brecksville, Brittany (Sean) Griffin of Conway, SC, Tyler Joseph Nau and Jared Michael Nau, both of Wooster; step grandchildren Chad (Sarah) Novelli of Columbus, Erin Novelli of North Canton and Jason (Stacie) Novelli of Fairlawn; great grandchildren Owen and Myles Bailey and Reinette Griffin; step great grandchildren Mya, Maria, Julien and Marco Novelli; sisters Wilma (Kenneth) Bates of Smithville and Donna (Jim) Safigan of Clinton, MS along with nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Michelle Novelli in 2010 and a sister Beverly Ann Nau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 12:30 PM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with Rev. Stephen Moran as celebrant.   Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery where full military honors will be performed by the 555th Honors Detachment.  
Friends will be received from 11:00 until the time of the service at the church on Wednesday.  
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
