WOOSTER “ Helen Saunders, 84, of Wooster passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
She was born August 24, 1934 in Garfield Hts., Ohio, the daughter of August and Lena Leide Bucholtz.   She married Edward Saunders on May 14, 1960.   He preceded her in death on June 9, 2001.
She worked as a secretary at TRW, Westfield Insurance and the Wayne County Library in Rittman.   She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mt. Hope and served as Treasurer of the Carriage Lane Home Owners Association.    Helen had no greater joy than emphatically singing a glorious hymn filled with the love of God.   She was an avid reader, a Cleveland Indians fan and loved playing cards and games.
Surviving are her children, Sharon (Joseph) Farra of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania and Diane (Daniel) Austen of Apple Creek; a grandson, Tyler Farra and step-grandchildren, Kathryn Marlow and Rebekah Austen; step-great-grandchildren, Audrey, Lydia and Vivian Marlow; siblings, Carol Regner, Melvin Bucholtz and Marlene McKenzie.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Audrey Bucholtz.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the noon service on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Bruce Breudigam officiating.   Burial will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 2:15 p.m.
