WOOSTER – Homer Stewart HASTINGS, 95 of Wooster, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in Glendora Health Care Center.
Born October 6, 1912 in Cambridge, OH he was the son of Stephen Floyd and Mary Alta Stewart Hastings.
He had worked for the Moreland Fruit Farm, Thomas Mold & Die and retired from the Wilbert Co. He was a member of Ebenezer Lodge #33 F & AM, Wooster Chapter #27 Royal Arch Masons, Wooster Council #13 Royal and Selected Masters and Wooster Commandery #48 KT. Stewart enjoyed gardening and bee keeping and was very well read in many areas.
Surviving are his children Floyd (Eileen) Hastings of Ft. Wright, KY, Robert (Mary Kay) Hastings of Wooster, Ann Hastings of Wooster and Helen (Martin) Huth of New Concord, OH; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and a special friend, Ruth Jenkins of Cambridge.
He was preceded in death by his wife Laura Geese Hastings in June of 1971, a sister Isabelle Binau and a brother Stephen Hastings.
