WOOSTER “ Hoyie Robinson, 74, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born March 7, 1944 in Willard, the son of Alvin and Laura Barnett Robinson.   He had worked for Wooster Metallics prior to becoming disabled.   Hoyie loved fishing and the outdoors and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Butler Robinson; a son, Don Robinson; grandchildren, Don Robinson, Jason Robinson, Hailey Robinson and Tayler Robinson; 7 great-grandchildren and his siblings, Marilyn (Henry) Connock of Wooster, Calvin (Dee) Robinson of Republic, Glenda Peyatt of Virginia, Boyd (Charlene) Salyers of North Carolina and Tim Robinson of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mike Robinson, Hobert Coy Robinson, Shirley Totman, Velma Thomas, Mollie Lou Robinson, Alvin œPete  Robinson and William Salyers.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Calvin Robinson officiating.   Burial will be in the New Haven Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
