James Allen Shaffer, 65, of Wooster, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice surrounded by his loving family.
James was born in Wooster on March 18, 1953 to James and Dorothy Fites Shaffer. He married Deborah Ann Hoff on May 5, 1979. She survives.
James was an owner/operator in the trucking business with Pacer and Greentree. He was a diehard Browns fan and enjoyed hunting and motorcycles. He especially enjoyed Sunday morning coffee with friends and he loved spending time with his family and cherished his lifelong friends.
James is survived by his wife Deborah, a son, Kevin (Susan) Shaffer, grandchildren, Samantha (Derick) Amstutz, Kayla (Josh) Knepper, Bradley (Michaela) Wardell, Noah and Hope Shaffer. Plus 5 Great grandchildren and one on the way! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Tracey Ann (Jesse) Wardell.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the McIntire, Bradham and Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster, Ohio 44691. James would encourage you to come as you are . There will be no other funeral services.
