WOOSTER “ James Cleverton Daugherty, 83 of Wooster passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at his home.
He was born July 17, 1936 in Ohio County, Kentucky, the son of Orville and Nina Howard Daugherty.   James married Barbara Ann Lee on September 17, 1982.   She survives.
He had attended Big Prairie Schools and had been a self-employed equipment operator.   He enjoyed fishing, basketball, boxing and baseball.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Barbara,  are his children Tammy Daugherty of New Philadelphia, James C. Daugherty Jr. of Coshocton, Joseph M. Daugherty of Loudonville and Jack R. Daugherty and Michael B. Daugherty both of Wooster; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; siblings Pat Hart of Wooster, Charlotte Newman and Marie Cavitt both of Kentucky and Sharon Arbergast of Ashland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sons Rodney Daugherty and Danny Taylor, a daughter Michelle Dawn Daugherty and siblings Charles, Wendell and Landon Daugherty and Oma Spigelmire
Private family services and calling hours will be held with burial in the Jefferson Pioneer Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
